Solo studio album debut by The Gun Club frontman and primary composer, Jeffrey Lee Pierce originally released on Statik Records. The album came about shortly after Pierce closed The Gun Club in late '84.
For this, Pierce on lead guitar, vocals and piano, has teamed up with bassist John Mackenzie and drummer Andy Anderson. The style is less noisy, less energetic, and instead a more americana-shaped type of blues rock. It's not bad at all, I just find that it lacks direction. After the release, Pierce went on a tour to promote the album with a backing band featuring Pierce's new girlfriend, Romi Mori on guitar.
