The album contains ten A-side singles from the band's first four albums including the four non-album tracks "Hong Kong Garden", "The Staircase (Mystery)", "Mittageisen", and "Israel" all of which is listed in chronological order showcasing the band's progression from dark abrassive post-punk via more complex gothic rock to embrace art pop on "Arabian Knights".
A fine but somewhat short collection, but for completists it's essential as it also contains well-known non-album songs.
