2nd studio album by Danish singer / songwriter Annika Aakjær follows a little less than two years after her fine debut Lille filantrop (May 2008) is like that produced by Herik Marstal. This collection of ten new songs continue in more or less the same style. Both the lyrics, being slightly more diverse, as well as the music, which appears slightly more dynamic are here on a higher level. Also, Aakjær now challenges her singing voice more, which isn't a traditional pop vocal but a strong, and highly charismatic one. Yet, it's still in a folk pop universe. I find that her lyrical universe has much in common with the male artist Allan Olsen - only this is aeons better.
